Day 18: Try Single-Tasking — Get More Done With Less Stress
Multitasking is often seen as a strength, but in reality, it’s one of the biggest drains on productivity and focus. Our brains aren’t designed to do multiple complex tasks at once, they simply switch rapidly between them, which costs time and energy.

Single-tasking means focusing on one task at a time, fully.
When you single-task, you:
Work more efficiently
Make fewer mistakes
Feel less mentally exhausted
Finish tasks faster
Experience a greater sense of accomplishment
Instead of constantly reacting to notifications and interruptions, single-tasking allows you to be intentional with your time.
A simple way to practise this is using focused time blocks, even short ones. You don’t need hours. You just need commitment.
So your challenge today is:
Set a 20-minute timer
Choose one task
Silence notifications and focus fully until the timer ends
You’ll often be surprised by how much you can accomplish when your attention isn’t divided.
Single-tasking isn’t about doing less... It’s about doing things better.
