Day 6: A 2-Minute Email Makeover — Write Clearer, Faster, Better Emails
We all spend more time than we’d like on emails — writing them, rewriting them, and trying to make sure they land the way we intend. But you can transform your communication with one simple shift.

Start with purpose. End with action.
This structure instantly makes your message easier to read and respond to. Here’s how it works:
1. Begin with the purpose
A strong subject line is important.
Following this a clear opening sets expectations and reduces confusion.
Example: “I’m writing to confirm the details for tomorrow’s meeting.”
2. Keep the middle concise
Stick to key information only.
No long paragraphs. No unnecessary explanation.
3. End with one clear action
Tell the reader what you need.
Example: “Please reply by 5pm to confirm.”
This approach is effective because it:
Saves time for both you and the reader
Prevents misunderstandings
Reduces back-and-forth emails
Makes you sound confident and organised
Today’s challenge:
Rewrite one email before sending it
Open with purpose
Close with clear action
A 2-minute improvement can change how people respond to you and how confidently you communicate.
